High-Speed T1 Networking and Connectivity Solutions for Businesses and Other Organizations
T1 bandwidth solutions are now being implemented by a lot of businesses, corporate enterprises, academic institutions, and governmental agencies for their connectivity requirements. Lately, it has become an indispensable tool for the bandwidth requirements of a lot of businesses; providing constant, high-speed Internet connectivity with an array of flexible service options. Network systems employing Wide Area Network technologies can benefit greatly from the speed and flexibility of modern T1 connections. Businesses and other organizations with a local computer network can take advantage of T1 solutions for internetwork communications as well as the convenience of high-speed Internet connectivity.
A Wide Array of Service Packages for the Unique Needs of Every Consumer
T1 bandwidth services are offered in a variety of packages to cater to the varied needs of consumers from different sectors in the society. Consumers can opt for a T1 bandwidth connection between a pair of specific locations or even to multiple areas for businesses with a number of satellite offices. A single, dedicated T1 channel utilizing full 1.544 Mbps T1 bandwidth capacities is also possible for high-capacity applications. Most T1 service providers also provide T1 solutions with specialized channels for up to 24 remote users with a direct connection to a central site, where each single channel is capable of up to 64 kbps of bandwidth speed.
Reliable and Flexible Solutions by Standardized T1 Technology
T1 bandwidth solutions differ in terminologies and rate capacities from one service provider to the next. A lot of prospective T1 consumers are bewildered by the different terms and numbers of T1 bandwidth solutions. Some T1 service providers offer their T1 advertise their T1 packages as capable of 1.544 bandwidth capacities, other service providers list their T1 solutions with 1.536 Mbps bandwidth connections. Moreover, T1 solutions with multiple channels are usually advertised as capable of attaining speeds of 64 Kbps per T1 channel, while other service providers avow 56 Kbps bandwidths each T1 channel. In addition, T-1 solutions are also termed of as DS-1 (Digital Signal 1) and not T1 as it is more widely known.
Consumers should not be dissuaded by the differences in the offered T1 solutions of various service providers. All T1 (or DS-1, as they are one and the same) solutions are similar by reason of the fact that T1 is the standardized term for any connection or data circuit which runs at the original T1 rate of 1.544 Mbps. T1 solutions are capable of transmitting data signals in 24 channels, where each channel is capable of 64 kbps streams. Each channel requires 8 kbps of framing information for synchronizing and demultiplexing the transmitted data at between points. Hence, some service providers advertise their T1 with 24 56kbps channels per T1 connection, when the truth is that, it is still capable of single channel 64 kbps capacities, minus the 8 kilobytes per second for framing and transmission requirements.
This goes the same for T1 solutions advertised with 1.536 kbps capacities. These T1 packages are also capable of standard 1.544 Mbps bandwidth speeds. However, the minor difference in rates is due to the same reason as stated above in varying single channel T1 capacities: where the difference of .008 Mbps is utilized for terminal frame alignment and signaling frame alignment. Hence, potential T1 customers should not be bewildered by dissimilar T1 bandwidth rates and terms offered by different T1 service providers and should be assured of the standardization of next generation T1 solutions.
